Artist Biography
Back in the saddle again, 1994 in the BBMF Lancaster
Ronald Homes' landscape paintings reflect his interest in nature, trees and the countryside around us and his war time and later flying experiences provide subject matter for many of his aviation paintings.
Ronald studied art at Willesden College of Art before WW2 and after serving in the RAF as a Pilot on Lancasters in Europe and Dakotas in India, Australia and the Far East resumed his studies at the Central School of Arts and Crafts, London.

He taught at the Central School and then after spending some three decades as an Industrial Designer and Manufacturer, he taught painting at the Salisbury College of Art and with the Dorset and Wiltshire Adult Education Classes.
He has had many exhibitions in Shaftesbury, the West Country and Suffolk and has exhibited in London at the RI Mall Galleries and with the Guild of Aviation Artists.
